Alkaline water has a higher pH level than that of plain tap water and bottled water. So proponents say that it can neutralize acid in your bloodstream. Alkaline water may also help to prevent disease, such as cancer and heart disease. If you are not used to drinking alkaline water we advise to drink it little by little untill your body gets used to the PH of 9.5
